APC: Commercial Rent Reviews Preparation Course
This evening class prepares you for the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors’ (RICS) assessment of professional competence (APC), focusing on commercial rent reviews.
We will cover practical examples of the major elements of handling commercial rent reviews including understanding the lease context, triggering reviews, constructing the rental valuation and resolving disputes in the event of failure to agree a revised rent. We will also cover important matters such as 'without prejudice', Calderbank offers and evidence ranking.
The course will provide a technical, professional and practical outlook on the subject matter. It will support those undertaking the valuation, landlord and tenant, and property management competencies of the APC.
