(Level 6 and 7) You will need 120 level 5 credits (or equivalent), as well as the support of the clinical manager and a suitably qualified mentor/assessor. You will need to be working in a practice area with minimum six months experience.

This part-time module  enables you to reflect upon, analyse and critically evaluate the needs of the workforce, and involves a professional development dimension, identifying your own leadership and management style.

This module will develop your management skills through the study and analysis of different theoretical models of management and leadership. A professional development dimension is included involving your identification of your own leadership and management style and ability. The module will enable you to reflect upon, analyse and critically evaluate the needs of the workforce and utilise different concepts of work psychology. You will be enabled to manage the concept of planned organisational change driven by internal and external environments, for example changes in legislation or in clients/children's needs or expectations as well as routine management and teambuilding skills required in your workplace. It will enable you to understand the need for strategic vision, planning and budget control in the delivery of effective care and education within the current legislative context.
