Developing and constructing effective cycle networks relies upon good planning and high quality, sustainable design.  All too often the practical needs of cyclists are overlooked or diluted, as integration with other modes and achievement of attractive routes, networks and facilities is compromised.  This course is the second of two modules that provide advanced training for planners and engineers responsible for developing cycling as an integrated form of transport and for the delivery of safe and efficient cycle networks and facilities.  The course is aimed at practising designers of cycle routes and crossing facilities, travel planners and highway engineers wishing to incorporate cycle provision within sustainable transport schemes
