The Biosafety Training Institute (BTI) at The University of Edinburgh
This course is aimed at professionals working in a safety and/or biological environment.
The course is accredited by Institute of Safety in Technology and Research and falls in line with the CEN Workshop 53 Agreement on Biosafety Professional Competence (BSP). It has also been approved by the Validation Board of the University of Edinburgh as SCQF Level 11. The Royal Society of Biology has approved the course for purposes of CPD, and it may be counted as 93 CPD credits.
Once attendees have completed all of the units provided in this course (and passed the assessments), they can become registered by ISTR as Level 1 Biosafety Practitioners if they have two years' relevant experience.

This course is an online course which involves online learning and assessments. Six weeks are given to complete the online learning but this is for flexibility (to allow for heavy work schedules / holidays) - it is not full time, and delegates may complete their online learning at a convenient time during this six week period.
The price for the course is £1,500 per person.
A discounted price is available to delegates who work within Higher Education.
This course is available as a full online course or as a hybrid (mixture of e-learning and face to face training).
