Communication in relation to Children and Young People is a module developed in association with expert clinical practitioners, leading organisations within this filed of care and the involvement of service users. This module enables exploration of contemporary evidence based practice and the impact that communication and engagement has on the care provision, access, delivery and outcome for children, young people and their families.
The course is delivered and assessed online, allowing you to work at your own pace.
The CYP programme has been designed following consultation with senior academics, clinical experts, user groups and charities to ensure that the content reflects current contemporary issues in relation to palliative and complex care for children, young people and their families.
A range of multimedia tools have been created to challenge thoughts and perspectives and promote reflection on current practices on palliative and complex care for children, young people and their families. Theoretical perspectives will be examined in order to identify how an integrated approach and the best available evidence can provide access to appropriate specialist services, support and care for children, young people and their families.
