University of Warwick Skills Center

Launched in January 2022, the Skills Centre has been developed by WMG, a world-class academic department based at the University of Warwick.

WMG has a 40-year track record working with industry, delivering expertise to businesses and empowering employers. Warwick is a member of the Russell Group, one of the UK’s top ten universities and a global leader in research excellence.

The Centre was set up to address the skills shortage facing businesses and industry, both regionally and nationally. WMG already delivers applied learning in a variety of programmes. So, we understand that education needs to have an immediate impact on productivity, job roles and career progression.

The short courses offered by the Centre bring future skills to business today in key areas. These include Engineering, Technology, Supply Chain, Automotive Electrification, Automotive Battery Engineering, Automotive Power Electronics & Motor Drives, Digital Manufacturing and Digital Healthcare.

No degree can equip workers with everything they need for their entire careers. Businesses and employees are also under tight time pressures. That’s why our courses enable learners to gain the maximum amount of knowledge in a short space of time to add to their existing skill set.

We listen to business. Our practitioners come from the industry so know companies must stay ahead of the curve. Our courses will empower employers to future-proof their workforces.
