Overview: This course is designed to develop skills and increase understanding of blood results for Professions Allied to Medicine.

Course Content:

This CPD course provides an opportunity for those individuals working in professions allied to medicine to gain background knowledge and an understanding of the routine pathology blood tests. Specific focus will be placed on the interpretation of the common haematological, biochemical and immunological blood tests. The emphasis will be placed on clinical case studies where you will learn how to interpret the blood results of a wide variety of conditions such as anaemia, atherosclerosis, diabetes, acute liver disease, chronic kidney failure, arthritis, leukaemia, post-operative bleeding, etc.
