For people who have completed Chinese Beginners or equivalent and who wish to practise their conversational skills. The aim is to develop your ability to speak Chinese in a range of everyday social and practical situations, by means of discussion and role-play work. Strategies for successful communication, such as using intonation effectively, asking for clarification, and getting people’s attention, will also be addressed.
Topics include socialising, making an appointment, eating at a restaurant, asking for directions and check-in at the hotel.
