This part-time single honours programme helps you to develop your career by converting your Early Years Foundation Degree and matching your future plans for progression.
This programme uses both work-based and blended learning methods to help you to study at your own pace and in your own time. The course also supports you with face-to-face tutorials, project facilities and feedback sessions at times when able to attend.
The BA top-up award is designed for Early Years Foundation degree graduates or equivalent to progress to level 6 to achieve an honours deree in Early Childhood Education and Care.

Assessment
Assessment is through a wide range of methods. These include essays, research reports, case studies, group and individual presentations, exhibitions, seminars, and e-learning. Teaching and learning strategies include lectures, seminars, discussion and debate, presentations, guest speakers, workshops, an e-learning environment, visits and directed activities.
Attendance
Attendance requirement is usually for one afternoon and evening per week during semesters. Modules run in parallel and require students to engage with a range of learning and teaching modes using e-learning as well as face-to-face contact with tutors.

Entry requirements:
Applicants will need to have 120 credits at level 4 and 120 credits at level 5 and a satisfactory DBS check. Applicants from other institutions will be required to submit a 'Bridging Protocol Portfolio' that will be used to assess your ability to study at degree level.
