Safety is a consideration from inception to demolition, not just during construction. The intention of this course is to cover the core aspects of the law relating to construction safety and risk control to allow managers and designers to identify areas of concern and to act accordingly to minimise the risk profile of their organisation.
Highways/Infrastructure engineers, traffic engineers, urban designers, transport planners, project managers and indeed all those who undertake project procurement and/or contribute to the design have specific duties to discharge as either a “designer” or “client”.
This course aims to provide delegates with;
- an understanding of the requirements of CDM2007 Regulations for the Client and Designer;
- an overlapping awareness of other relevant UK Health & Safety legislation;
- a suite of practical actions that can be an employed by designers to contribute to safer construction.
