This evening course prepares you for the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors’ (RICS) assessment of professional competence (APC), focusing on professional practice and ethics.
All APC candidates must both pass an online ethics test and be able to demonstrate knowledge and application, and provide advice on professional practice and ethics. The course will provide an overview of RICS and how it regulates members. We will discuss a range of published professional standards and provide practical examples of RICS Codes of Conduct and the expectations of members. You will also learn about professional negligence, bribery and money laundering, and identifying and handling conflicts of interest.
Who is this for:
This course is designed as preparation for the final APC assessment day for all RICS pathways, including professional experience route (PER) and senior professional route (SPR) candidates. All APC candidates must be able to demonstrate knowledge, application and provide advice on professional practice and ethics.
It is also for supervisors or counsellors working with candidates who are sitting for their final RICS assessments, and you would like to undertake formal continuing professional development.
